About
Four hundred trials, one philosophy.
Bill founded the firm in the early 1990s after several years as a trial lawyer in South Florida courts. He has practiced before the Florida courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Supreme Court.
He has been Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a Civil Trial Specialist since 1998 — recertified three times — and is also Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has held the highest available rating (AV) under Martindale-Hubbell's Peer Review Ratings System for over 25 years, an Advocate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and a Florida Super Lawyer every year since 2011.
Bill received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, where he was a member of the Moot Court Society and Law Review and recipient of the Book Award in Appellate Practice. He went on to receive an L.L.M. in Law at the University of Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1977.
Over more than three decades, Bill has appeared as counsel in published appellate decisions on issues of evidence, comparative negligence, premises liability, and trial procedure. He has tried more than 400 cases to verdict.
The philosophy behind every case is simple: prepare every file as if it will go to trial. Most cases settle. The ones that don't, settle for more — because the insurance company knows the firm will try them.
"Prepare every file as if it will go to trial. Most cases settle. The ones that don't, settle for more."
